We Call You Father
by Randy Thompson

Now I lay me down to sleep
I pray the Lord my soul to keep
Echoing the words that I'd been taught to pray
Folded hands beside the bed
I hear the words I'd often said
Never really thinking about what they mean

But now that I am older and I understand
All that I'd been taught was really true
And everything that I'd been praying for
Is found in knowing You

CHORUS
Father in heaven, fill us with Your love
Lead us and guide us and teach us from above
Cloth us with Your glory for all the world to see
That God we are your children, and we call You Father

Now I hear my children pray
I marvel at the things they say
Their tender hearts so eager to believe
And I'm more and more aware if they're to know You're really there
It all begins with what they see in me

So once more we come to You in prayer
Their words so simple and so true
These simple prayers they pray in childlike faith
Are precious Lord to You

We Want to See Jesus
by Randy Thompson

Everybody knows the story I'm about to tell
We've heard it all before we know it all too well
So we must pray to see through different eyes
For here among familiar words a priceless treasure lies sleeping

Here within this tiny stall
We never would have dreamed that God could be so small
In wrinkled flesh, bathed in starry light
The fragile hope of all the world is here with us this night sleeping

We are impotent and blind, crippled and we're broken
We come approaching the cradle now naked and afraid
Not knowing what we'll find
But longing to uncover
The long awaited promise that we hope can make us whole

For we are needy and hungry and cold and alone,
Desperately wanting to be wanted
Longing to see beyond star studded skys
Beyond shepherds and angelic voices that rise
Praying that God will now open our eyes
We want to see Jesus
We want to see Him as He really is...

We hold our breath as angels bend
To see within the stable now what we can't comprehend
For we are flesh and cannot see
From their eternal vantage point this glorious mystery unfold

When I Survey
Words & Music: Issac Watts
Arrangement: Jim Krupa & Randy Thompson

When I survey the wondrous cross
On which the Prince of Glory died
My richest gain I count but loss
And pour contempt on all my pride

Forbid it Lord that I should boast
Save in the death of Christ my God
All the vain things that charm me most
I'd sacrifice them to His blood

See from His head His hands His feet
Sorrow and love flow mingled down
Did ere such love and sorrow meet
Or thorns compose so rich a crown

Were the whole realm of nature mine
That were a present far too small
Love so amazing so divine
Demands my life, my soul, my all

Who Has Ears To Hear
by Randy Thompson

Two men walk along a dusty road they’d walked before
Heads were bowed in quiet contemplation
But the silence was broken by words left unspoken
And the questions are still ringing in their ears

Thinking of a lifetime they had spent in chasing dreams
Driven by some long forgotten vision
But the dreams they were shattered
Broken and battered
And all of their passions now denied There is so much more that they can never know
How could they be so far and yet so near
There is so much more that they don’t understand
They don’t have the ears to hear

Our lives are just a moment in the web of time and space
We live it out by passion or by reason
With glimpses of glory we write out the story
And justify the means by the ends

Where is the method in the madness
Where are the words that make it rhyme
Who can see beyond this sadness
Why must we go on so blind
Chorus
There is so much more that I can say to you
There’s so much more I really want to share
There is so much more that I can tell to you
Do you have the ears to hear?

We are all just travelers upon this dusty road
In a journey that will take us to forever
What we choose to believe what we deny what we receive
Is the only power man will ever know

Chorus

Who Has the Answer
by Randy Thompson

When the night seems so dark
And you can't find the light
I know who has the answer
When everything's wrong
He can make it all right
I know who has the answer
He hears you cry and He wants to comfort you
And with His love He'll wipe away your tears
I know because He took my place
Upon the cross and by His grace I have found
New Life in Jesus

When your life seems confused
And you feel so abused
I know who has the answer
When the pain in your heart
Is tearing you apart
I know who has the answer
He loves you more than you've ever thought possible
And with His love He'll wipe away your pain
I know because He took my place
Upon the cross and by His grace I have found
New Life in Jesus Christ

Well He knows all of the pain that you're feeling
He knows every tear you cry
He can bring joy when there's nothing but sorrow
And make your tomorrows bright

When your dreams are shattered and broken
I know who has the answer
When you lose your way
And there's no one to guide you
I know who has the answer
He will be there, just as He promised
No, He'll never leave you
No, He'll never go away
I know because He took my place
Upon the cross and by His grace
I have found
New Life in Jesus Christ
New Life in Jesus Christ
New Life in Jesus Christ

Why Do I Feel So Empty?
by Randy Thompson

I have tried to live in the way I should
I have given up everything I could
I have sacrificed all I know to give
And still I feel so empty

I have praised Your name, I have prayed through tears,
Even when it seemed that no one hears
I have served You when my flesh was weak
So why do I feel so empty?

Are You listening Lord, can You hear me now
I want to please You if You’ll show me how
There’s nothing on earth that I’ve ever wanted more
Than to know You love me

I have died to myself  the best I know how
It is only You I live for now
I am running the race with all my strength
So why do I feel so empty?

I have read Your word, claimed the promises
Tried to form myself to the things it says
I have dreamed the dreams that would bring You glory
But still I feel so empty

Is there something Lord, that I cannot see?
Am I blinded by something in me?
Could there really be a simple way that I could know Your love
(Repeat)

Are You pleased in me for the things I’ve done
Or is Your pleasure more easily won
Could it be enough that I would learn to trust in Your love
